This privacy policy describes how Spot Parking ("Service Provider," "we," or "us") collects and uses information through www.spotparking.com (the marketing website) and the Spot Nav mobile application (together, the "Services"). Services are provided as-is.
Website & marketing site
When you visit our marketing website, we may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser type, and information you submit in forms (for example contact, ROI, or event giveaway forms). Form submissions may be processed by HubSpot on our behalf.
We use optional analytics and marketing technologies on the website — currently Google Analytics, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo — only after you accept cookies via our cookie banner. You can change your browser settings or clear site data to be prompted again. Product maps may use Mapbox; Mapbox has its own privacy policy linked below.
Spot Nav app — information collection and use
The Spot Nav mobile application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
- Geolocation data (used as described below)
- Phone number, when you provide it, for the purposes described in SMS and Mobile Messaging
The Service Provider ensures that all collected data is handled in accordance with SOC 2 principles, including security, confidentiality, and privacy.
The Application collects your device's location to provide the following services:
- Geolocation Services: Location data is used to provide personalized content, relevant recommendations, and location-based services.
- Analytics and Improvements: Aggregated and anonymized location data helps improve the Application's performance and functionality.
- Third-Party Services: Anonymized location data may be shared with trusted third-party services to enhance the Application.
The Service Provider implements strict access controls and encryption to protect all collected data, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 security and confidentiality requirements.
SMS and Mobile Messaging
If you provide a mobile phone number, we may use it to send SMS or other mobile messages for parking alerts, two-factor authentication (2FA), and citations-related notices, as applicable to your use of the Application and related services. Message frequency varies based on your activity, account settings, and events relevant to your parking sessions or account.
You may opt out of SMS messages from us at any time by texting STOP to the number from which you received the message. Standard message and data rates may apply; contact your carrier for details.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are addressed under Third-Party Access below.
Third-Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application. The Service Provider ensures that all third-party providers adhere to SOC 2 principles and maintain the confidentiality and security of your data.
The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Data Security
The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding your information. They implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption, secure data storage, and regular security audits, to ensure compliance with SOC 2 security principles.
Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel only, and all access is logged and monitored to prevent unauthorized use.
Data Retention Policy
We retain User Provided Data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted in compliance with SOC 2 confidentiality and privacy principles.
Data Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us at support@spotparking.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Once received, we will:
- Verify your identity
- Confirm the scope of deletion
- Delete your personal data within 10 business days unless legally required to retain it
- Confirm deletion via email
All requests are logged and processed according to our internal SOC 2-compliant procedures.
As of the most recent update, Spot Parking has not received any formal data deletion requests.
Incident Response
In the event of a data breach or security incident, the Service Provider has a documented incident response plan to address and mitigate the issue promptly. Users will be notified of any breaches affecting their data in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
